The Knowledge Project is the culmination of a somewhat diverse career path that has led me to the realisation that I thrive on helping people acquire knowledge.
Knowledge is a familiarity, awareness or understanding of someone or something, such as facts, information, descriptions or skills, which is acquired through experience or education by perceiving, discovering or learning.
I’ve done my share of corporate training in some challenging environments and worked extensively with subject matter experts. The things that stand out from this experience for me are the same things that led me to the decision to become a freelancer in the field of designing, developing and delivering effective, engaging and interactive digital learning experiences.
I truly believe that learning should be an engaging and memorable experience and being able to understand and clearly convey complex technical information in this way is something that I am passionate about.
The Future is Digital Learning
Digital learning is about strengthening the quality, flexibility and accessibility of a learner’s experience through effective use of technologies.
Learning has to become part of life, not something you do at a particular time or place.
The evolution of technology has been a great enabler in the way learning content gets created, captured, curated and distributed and learners are becoming more comfortable with and adaptive to digital learning solutions. To effectively engage learners I believe we need to embrace modern learning standards, become digital learning role models and offer things worthy of engagement.
